Why we love shooting at
Loulu Palm Estate.

Loulu Palm Farm Estate is one of Oahu's most unique and intimate wedding venues — a lush private estate nestled in Haleiwa on the North Shore, surrounded by towering loulu palms, a serene freshwater lake, and the kind of tropical beauty that feels completely removed from the outside world.

This is the venue for couples who want something intimate, organic, and genuinely beautiful — not a resort ballroom or a manicured beach resort, but a living, breathing piece of Hawaii. We've photographed weddings here and the results are consistently some of the most unique and beautiful images in our portfolio.

What Makes Loulu Palm Estate Special

The centerpiece of Loulu Palm Estate is the lake — a tranquil, reflective freshwater pond surrounded by native loulu palms and tropical foliage. Ceremonies on the dock overlooking the water, portraits reflected in the still surface, golden light filtering through the palms — it's a setting that creates images unlike anything you'd find at a resort venue.

The estate has an organic, natural quality that photographs beautifully in every light. Morning light filters through the canopy in golden shafts. Late afternoon turns everything warm and dreamy. The natural environment does a lot of the visual work — our job is to find the right moments within it.

Photography Opportunities at Loulu Palm

Loulu Palm's strongest visual elements are the lake and dock (perfect for ceremony and portrait work), the loulu palm groves (dramatic, graphic, unlike anything else on Oahu), and the open meadow areas that provide sweeping wide shots with the natural Hawaiian landscape as backdrop.

We recommend arriving well before your ceremony to take advantage of the property's different areas. A one-hour engagement or portrait session at golden hour here produces some of the most stunning images we've ever made.

Planning Your Loulu Palm Wedding

Loulu Palm Estate is an outdoor venue — which means rain planning is important, especially during winter months. The estate typically works with couples on contingency plans. We're experienced with outdoor North Shore venues and always prepared for Hawaii's unpredictable weather. Some of our most beautiful photos have been taken in light rain with dramatic overcast skies.

Late spring through early fall (May–October) tends to bring drier weather to the North Shore. Winter can bring dramatic clouds and occasional rain, but also lush green conditions that photograph beautifully. We've shot gorgeous weddings here year-round.
